Each slat is constructed with an MDF core and finished with a real Dark Walnut veneer on the front facing surface, mounted to a high-density acoustic felt backer to help reduce unwanted echo while maintaining a clean, modern profile.
Note: LED Light Kits are not compatible with AFD acoustic slat panels.
Wood is a natural material and will vary in color, grain, and tone from piece to piece and between production runs. Panels of different lengths or batches may not be an exact color match.

It is a great product but maybe not for my project. I am looking to cover the front of my kitchen island. There are bar stools there so the wall may get kicked inadvertently. Also, the panels would be applied above the 5”+ white base. Therefore, the semi-sharp corners that would stick out, might catch on someone’s foot or, if they are barefoot, the sharp corners might hurt someone’s feet.
