Product Questions

Slat Walling

What are Luxewall slat panels made of?

They feature real wood veneer over MDF slats, mounted on an acoustic felt backing made from recycled materials.

Do slat panels help with sound absorption?

Yes! When installed directly on a wall, they provide an NRC of around 0.45–0.50. For even better performance (up to 0.85–0.95 NRC), install them with battens and mineral wool behind the panels.

How do I install slat panels?

Screw directly through the felt into drywall, or use construction adhesive for additional support.

Can I cut the panels to size?

Yes — you can adjust the panels to fit your space. Use a hand saw or circular saw to cut the wood slats to length, and a utility knife to trim the felt for width adjustments.

Can I use slat panels in a bathroom?

Yes! They can be installed in dry areas like above vanities. Avoid direct water exposure or heavy steam.

Can I use them around a fireplace?

Yes — as long as they’re installed at least 12 inches from direct heat sources or open flames. Luxewall panels are decorative and not fire‑rated.
Always follow local building codes.

Do you offer matching trim?

Yes — we provide corner and edge trim options for a finished look.

Are slat panels renter‑friendly?

Yes - when installed with drywall screws, they’re easy to remove and leave only small holes that can be patched when moving out.

Plywood-Backed Panel

What are plywood‑backed panels?

They’re decorative wood panels with a durable plywood core, designed for a premium look and long‑lasting performance.

How do I install plywood‑backed panels?

They can be installed with construction adhesive, finishing nails, or both for a secure hold.

Can I cut them to size?

Yes — panels can be trimmed to fit your wall. Use a hand saw, circular saw, or miter saw for clean, straight cuts. Always follow safety guidelines when using power tools.

Do they help with sound absorption?

While they provide some noise dampening when compared to standard drywall walls, they aren’t designed for acoustic performance like slat panels.

Can I use them in bathrooms?

Yes — panels can be installed in dry areas like above vanities. Always follow local building codes.

Do you offer samples?

Yes — we provide cut panel samples so you can see the finish and texture before ordering. Always follow local building codes.

Self Stick Walling

What are Luxewall self‑stick panels?

They’re lightweight panels with a premium peel‑and‑stick backing, designed for quick installation on smooth indoor surfaces.

Do I need nails?

Yes - while the adhesive backing provides a strong hold, we recommend reinforcing with brad nails or staples for a secure, long‑term installation.

What surfaces work best?

Clean, flat, painted drywall. Avoid textured walls, brick, tile, or damp surfaces.

Can I cut them to size?

Yes — use a hand saw or utility knife to trim each plank to fit your space. For width adjustments, carefully cut the adhesive backing as needed.

Do I need to prep my walls?

Yes - clean thoroughly with TSP and ensure the surface is dry and free of dust or grease.

Can I use them in bathrooms or kitchens?

They’re suitable for dry areas but should not be installed where they’ll be exposed to direct water or steam.

Mesh-Backed Panel

What are mesh‑backed panels?

These panels feature individual wood pieces mounted on a flexible mesh backing, making them easy to install and align.

How do I install mesh‑backed panels?

They can be glued directly to walls using construction adhesive or secured with brad nails.

Can I cut mesh‑backed panels?

Yes — cut through the mesh with scissors or a utility knife, and trim the individual wood pieces with a hand saw as needed. This lets you fit panels to both length and width requirements.

Do they help with sound absorption?

They provide some noise reduction, but they’re primarily decorative and not designed for acoustic performance.

Can I use them in bathrooms?

They’re suitable for dry areas but should not be installed where they’ll be exposed to direct water or steam.

Do you offer samples?

Yes - cut samples are available so you can see the finish and color before purchasing.
